Having an incorrect posture for long periods of time such as when you are reading or when you are on the computer, or when you sleep in an incorrect position, can cause muscle tensions.

The cervical disc hernia consists of the displacement of part of the intervertebral disc which is the region between the two vertebrae, caused in most of the times by the wear of the spine and poor posture.

One of the main symptoms of cervical disc herniation is pain in the neck, which can spread to the shoulders, arms and hands, and cause tingling and numbness.
