I already know what you think: “But it’s too difficult after a week filled with soothing my mind and really relaxing in meditation. “My mind will not be disconnected! Yes, it is a problem; you want to meditate to calm your mind, but you can not calm your mind long enough to really meditate. And you’re right, it’s not always easy; but if you practice meditation regularly, it becomes easier and easier to calm your mind. Make it a habit to meditate daily, even if it’s only for five minutes, and you will not find that meditation is difficult.
Tapping is a process that combines ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology to help heal emotional trauma, clear limiting beliefs, lose weight and even relieve physical pain, fears and phobias. Taping on the meridian points of the body interrupts its natural reaction to fight or flight in response to stress. All those stressful things in our life that make your mind go crazy can be completely removed in just a few minutes of tapping (or at least decrease significantly). When you reduce your stress levels, your body can relax and this allows your mind to calm down.
Mindfulness is the moment-by-moment practice of our thoughts, feelings, body sensations and our environment. Author and mindfulness expert, Jon Kabar-Kinn, brought back his mindfulness-based stress reduction program to the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1979. Since then, several studies have shown both physical and mental benefits for the health of the practice of mindfulness. It increases positive emotions and reduces negative emotions and stress, allowing us to calm our minds much more easily.
Essential oils are not only good for healing our physical body; they can also do wonders to our emotional body. The most commonly used essential oil for relaxation and stress relief is lavender. It relaxes all your senses, helping to calm your mind and help you sleep well. Citrus oils are also good for relieving stress, but they will help you maintain a good level of energy rather than sleep. Use them to de-stress during the day and calm your mind when you feel like you need a break. Incense is rich in sesquiterpenes, This can increase oxygen levels in the brain and affect the amygdala (the part of the brain that involves the treatment and expression of emotions) so as to help release the blocked emotions. Whenever you start to notice a tension rising in your body, dab a little incense and let it start doing miracles.
It sounds simple, but when we put ourselves in a relaxing outdoor environment we begin to actually remember that we are a very small part of a whole. Lying on a blanket outside on a clear night; look at all those beautiful stars; or sit under a tree in a park on a beautiful day and listen to the birds singing, your thoughts will start to move away from your problems and constraints and this will naturally allow your mind to calm down so you can just enjoy the space in which you find yourself. Returning to nature also has the ability to get you back on track with your awakening. It’s the simple things in life that really make a difference.
Using sage, incense and crystals to clean up your physical energy and energy from the spaces in which you live and work is a simple and inexpensive way to help reduce your stress levels and calm your mind. Fantasy Jasper and Zebra Jasper are two stones that can help you: center, stay anchored and connected during meditation; think more clearly and focus on the present moment, rather than the future or the past.
When all else fails, ask for help! Sometimes life can seem overwhelming to us, and if you have some kind of spiritual belief, then you know that you have support outside of our physical world. The angels are always with us and they want to help; we just need to ask. Ask your Angels to take off your stress and help you calm your mind. You will immediately notice how much better you will feel, and you will sleep deeply at night if you do it just before sleeping.
This is the most difficult thing for most of us to do; hope everything will be fine no matter what it is. I like what Reverend Michael Beckwith says about stress and worry: he says there are two things you need to worry about or stress. The first type of things are the problems for which you can do something, so why worry or stress … just do something to fix them. The second type of things are problems that you can not solve, so why worry or stress … you can not do anything to solve them. Is not it great? There is really no need to let stress take over your life once you have learned this lesson;
Some people find that just writing in a notebook all that worries and stresses them is the easiest way to get rid of stress before going to sleep. And if you add some things in your life for which you are grateful, then you have created the perfect recipe for a calm mind and a good night’s sleep.
A good cup of relaxing chamomile herbal tea and a good book is always a great way to soothe your mind and de-stress a busy day … even if it only lasts for one night.
I hope some of these tips can help calm your mind, just remember that it’s a patience game, you’ll never be able to test them all at the same time and they will not all work for you, it’s is about balance and seeing what works best for you. Once you have found the right way to calm your mind, doing it regularly will become a routine that will begin to become natural.
